Meet Lindsay

Your Pelvic Health Physical Therapist

Lindsay Johnson, DPT, is a Chattanooga native and has been a Physical Therapist for 13 years. For the past 10 years, she has been treating pelvic health patients, both women and men in the outpatient setting. Over the 13 years she has been a PT, she has also worked in the acute hospital setting, in-patient rehab setting, as well as a private outpatient pediatric setting. Having been in all these different types of settings, Lindsay has developed many unique skills that set her apart from other PTs. She strives to be passionate and empathetic to all patients, treating every patient like they are her own family member. She takes great pride in this and makes it a top priority goal with each patient.

All of Lindsay’s pelvic health training has been completed thru the Pelvic Health section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), in which she has been an on-going member since 2007. Lindsay treats all pelvic floor issues including incontinence and urinary dysfunction, pain with intercourse, pelvic/perineal pain, constipation, as well as other bowel dysfunctions; for both women and men. She especially loves to work with patients experiencing pelvic/perineal pain. Lindsay often states, “To treat someone in pain is life changing for both the patient and the therapist. It reminds me of the reasons why I became a PT to begin with; to change lives.”

Lindsay attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) for both undergraduate and graduate school. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry in 2005. She then perused her Doctor of Physical Therapy from UTC, graduating in 2010. She is a wife to her husband, Ryan, and mom to her son, Chapman.  In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, binge watching her favorite shows, cheering for the TN Vols in any sport, listening to podcast/audiobooks, being involved with her son’s school, and dreaming about living in an ocean front house!
